W & N Designers' Gouache colours are a range of 84 brilliant opaque watercolours, so named because they were developed for and continue to be mainly used by designers, visualisers and illustrators. Gouache is also used by fine artists as an opaque watercolour in combination with Artists' Watercolour paints.
The versatility of designers Gouache means that it can be used with brush, airbrush and ruling pen on most types of paper and board. As the colours are water soluble, they can also be mixed with other water colours to produce further combinations of opacity and transparency.

BRUSHO is a form of transparent watercolour available in an extensive range of exciting colours, supplied in small drums containing dry, crystalline powder. They mix instantly with cold water to produce a painting medium that is renowned for its versatility. The colours lend themselves ideally for the production of a variety of hues, tints and shades by mixing, dilution or concentration, or by the superimposition of washes.
Brusho is unique and many of the effects can be achieved in no other way. Even after many years of Brusho painting, new possibilities will still be found for this highly interesting product. Non toxic and acid free.
To complement the range of Artists' Water Colour, Winsor & Newton also produce the Cotman range. This range of 40 individual colours is made to their normal quality standards but costs are kept to an economical level by replacing some of the more costly pigments with less expensive alternatives keeping their exacting quality standards with a carefully selected range to offer a wide colour spectrum within a uniform price.
